Preparation
- Bake the cake according to box instructions and let it cool completely.
- Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
- Mix in the frosting until combined.
- Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Freeze the balls for about 15-30 minutes.
Coating
- Melt the green candy melts in a microwave or double boiler.
- Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into a cake ball.
- Dip the entire cake ball into the melted chocolate and let any excess drip off.
- Decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
- Allow the pops to cool and set completely before serving.
Notes
Store cake pops in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For freezing, place on a tray in a single layer and freeze until solid. They will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
