Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 1 box cake mix (plus ingredients required on the box)
  • 1 can frosting (any flavor)
Coating and Decoration
  • 1 cup green candy melts (for dipping)
  • to taste sprinkles (for decoration)
Equipment
  • 12 pieces lollipop sticks

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bake the cake according to box instructions and let it cool completely.
  2. Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl.
  3. Mix in the frosting until combined.
  4. Roll the mixture into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  5. Freeze the balls for about 15-30 minutes.
Coating
  1. Melt the green candy melts in a microwave or double boiler.
  2. Dip the end of each lollipop stick into the melted chocolate and insert it into a cake ball.
  3. Dip the entire cake ball into the melted chocolate and let any excess drip off.
  4. Decorate with sprinkles before the chocolate hardens.
  5. Allow the pops to cool and set completely before serving.

Notes

Store cake pops in an airtight container in the fridge for up to one week. For freezing, place on a tray in a single layer and freeze until solid. They will keep in the freezer for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge before serving.
