Method
Day One - Making the Dough
- Combine all the dough ingredients in a stand mixer bowl.
- Mix on low speed until they form a cohesive dough.
- Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Transfer the dough to an oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.
- Let the dough rise in a warm place for about 2 hours.
- After rising, divide the dough into 15 equal pieces and shape into balls.
- Place the balls in a greased 9x13 inch baking pan and cover.
- Refrigerate overnight.
Day Two - Baking
- Take the rolls out of the fridge and let them sit at room temperature for 1 to 2 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter.
- Sprinkle flaky sea salt on top of the rolls.
- Bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush them with the butter and honey mixture after removing from the oven.
- Serve the rolls warm and enjoy!
Notes
Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze individually wrapped for up to 3 months. They pair excellently with soups, stews, and salads.
