Method
Preparation
- Start by heating a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Optionally, add a little oil to the pan to prevent sticking.
- Take a small handful of ground beef and press it directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season the beef well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for extra flavor.
Cooking
- Place the prepared tortillas on the hot skillet with the beef side down. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the beef is nicely browned.
- Carefully flip the tortilla over, sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on the beef side, and then fold the tortilla in half.
- Grill both sides of the folded tortilla until they are crispy and the cheese is melty, about 2 minutes per side.
- Once cooked, take the quesadilla off the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Then slice it into wedges.
Serving
- Serve with your favorite burger toppings or a delicious dipping sauce. Great as a main dish or part of a larger meal.
Notes
If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap each quesadilla tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat on the skillet until crispy.
