  • 1 lb ground beef
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder for seasoning
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
Optional Toppings
  • to taste Pickles
  • to taste diced onions
  • to taste burger sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by heating a skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Optionally, add a little oil to the pan to prevent sticking.
  2. Take a small handful of ground beef and press it directly onto one half of each tortilla. Season the beef well with salt, pepper, and garlic powder for extra flavor.
Cooking
  1. Place the prepared tortillas on the hot skillet with the beef side down. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes until the beef is nicely browned.
  2. Carefully flip the tortilla over, sprinkle a generous amount of cheese on the beef side, and then fold the tortilla in half.
  3. Grill both sides of the folded tortilla until they are crispy and the cheese is melty, about 2 minutes per side.
  4. Once cooked, take the quesadilla off the skillet and let it cool for a minute. Then slice it into wedges.
Serving
  1. Serve with your favorite burger toppings or a delicious dipping sauce. Great as a main dish or part of a larger meal.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, wrap each quesadilla tightly and freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat on the skillet until crispy.
