Base Ingredients
  • 4 cups apple cider (preferably fresh or high-quality bottled) Fresh cider gives the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup caramel syrup (store-bought or homemade) Can be adjusted for sweetness.
  • 1 1/2 cups ginger beer For extra fizz and volume.
  • 1/2 cup club soda or sparkling water Optional for added fizz.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Optional, enhances flavor.
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon Optional, adds spice.
  • Sliced apples for garnish (Honeycrisp or Gala work beautifully) Use fresh slices for garnish.
  • Cinnamon sticks for garnish and stirring
  • Ice cubes For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large pitcher, combine the apple cider and caramel syrup.
  2. Add vanilla extract and ground cinnamon if using.
  3. Stir vigorously until the caramel syrup is completely dissolved.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Serving
  1. Just before serving, slowly pour in the ginger beer and club soda, stirring gently.
  2. Fill each serving glass with ice cubes.
  3. Carefully pour the cocktail into the prepared glasses, filling them about three-quarters full.
  4. Garnish each glass with 2-3 thin apple slices and insert a cinnamon stick.
  5. Serve immediately while cold and fizzy.

Notes

Store the base mixture in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Add fizz ingredients right before serving for best results. Avoid freezing the cocktail to maintain texture and flavor.
