Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb macaroni Elbow macaroni works best
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk Whole milk recommended
  • 1 cup bread crumbs Use plain or seasoned
  • 1 onion, chopped Small onion preferred
  • 2 eggs Large eggs
  • Salt and pepper to taste To season
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, chopped onion, shredded cheese, milk, bread crumbs, eggs, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Baking
  1. In a greased casserole dish, layer the cooked macaroni and meat mixture.
  2. Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
  3. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
