Preparation
- Start by putting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, take your softened cream cheese and mix it up with the ranch seasoning mix until well combined.
- Carefully spread the cream cheese and ranch mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- Pour the water around the sides of the chicken. This will help keep everything moist as it cooks.
Cooking
- Put the lid on your slow cooker. Set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
- When the cooking time is up, take two forks and shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
- Stir in the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Cover the slow cooker again and let it cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
- Before serving, season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with the chopped green onions.
