  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 ounce packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by putting the boneless, skinless chicken breasts at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  2. In a bowl, take your softened cream cheese and mix it up with the ranch seasoning mix until well combined.
  3. Carefully spread the cream cheese and ranch mixture over the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
  4. Pour the water around the sides of the chicken. This will help keep everything moist as it cooks.
Cooking
  1. Put the lid on your slow cooker. Set it to cook on low for 6-7 hours, or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. When the cooking time is up, take two forks and shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.
  3. Stir in the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  4. Cover the slow cooker again and let it cook for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
  5. Before serving, season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with the chopped green onions.

Notes
