Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 medium medium apples (Honeycrisp, Fuji, or Pink Lady)
  • 8 slices prosciutto (thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons honey (raw or hot honey preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter (for brushing apples)
Optional Additions
  • 2 ounces goat cheese or brie (for creamy variation) Use for a creamy texture.
  • to taste Fresh rosemary or thyme (finely chopped for garnish)
  • to taste Crushed walnuts or pecans (for added crunch) Optional for extra texture.
  • to taste Drizzle of balsamic glaze (for tangy finish) Optional for extra flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Clean and oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  3. Slice the apples into wedges or rounds, about ¼ to ½ inch thick, removing the core but keeping the peel on.
  4. Lightly brush both sides of the apple slices with olive oil or melted butter.
Grilling
  1. Place the apple slices on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they have grill marks and are tender.
  2. Once the apples are ready, wrap or top them with prosciutto, and grill it separately for 1-2 minutes if you prefer it crispy.
  3. Drizzle the grilled apples with honey right before serving.
Garnishing
  1. Add garnishes like fresh herbs, cheese, or crushed nuts before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. It's best to enjoy them fresh, as freezing is not recommended due to texture loss.
