  • 15.25 ounces funfetti cake mix Choose a sugar-free option for a healthier version.
  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 0.5 cup vegetable oil Can substitute with unsweetened applesauce for a lower-fat option.
  • 1.25 cups water
  • 18 ounces chocolate chip cookie dough
  • 36 pieces Oreos
  • 16 ounces vanilla frosting Use low-fat frosting for a healthier version.
  • to taste optional sprinkles For decoration.

Preparation
  1. Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, prepare the cake mix as per the package instructions by combining the funfetti cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
  3. Grease the muffin pan well or line with cupcake liners for easy removal.
  4. Place about 1 tablespoon of chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom of each muffin section.
  5. Gently press an Oreo on top of the cookie dough.
  6. Scoop the prepared cake batter on top of each Oreo, ensuring it is fully covered.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 18-23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Once baked, let the cupcakes cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before gently removing them.
  3. Frost the tops with vanilla frosting and sprinkle colored sprinkles if desired.
