Preparation
- Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- In a large bowl, prepare the cake mix as per the package instructions by combining the funfetti cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until smooth.
- Grease the muffin pan well or line with cupcake liners for easy removal.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of chocolate chip cookie dough into the bottom of each muffin section.
- Gently press an Oreo on top of the cookie dough.
- Scoop the prepared cake batter on top of each Oreo, ensuring it is fully covered.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 18-23 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the cupcakes cool in the pan for at least 15 minutes before gently removing them.
- Frost the tops with vanilla frosting and sprinkle colored sprinkles if desired.
