Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, 1/4 cup of sugar, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of flour. Let this mixture sit for 10 minutes to release the natural juices of the strawberries.
Batter Preparation
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the remaining flour, baking powder, salt, and the remaining sugar.
  2. Add the melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
Assembly and Baking
  1. Pour the batter evenly into the greased baking dish, then spoon the strawberry mixture over the top.
  2. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbling around the edges.
Serving
  1. Allow the cobbler to cool for about 15 minutes before serving.
