Cheese Mixture
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture.
  • 4 oz goat cheese, softened Feel free to use flavored goat cheese for added taste.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Any sharp or mild cheddar works well.
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped Adds a fresh flavor.
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped Can substitute with other dried fruits.
Coating and Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup nuts (e.g., pecans or walnuts), chopped Use your favorite nuts for flavor.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference.
Serving
  • to serve Crackers or vegetables Choose a variety for guests.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, goat cheese, cheddar cheese, green onions, cranberries, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix until all ingredients are well incorporated. Use a spatula or your hands to ensure everything is combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into one large ball or several mini balls. If you make mini balls, they are easier to serve and grab.
  4. Roll the cheese ball(s) in chopped nuts to coat. This adds texture and flavor and makes it look festive.
  5. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to firm up.
Serving
  1. Serve with crackers or fresh vegetables. The cheese ball pairs wonderfully with crunchy items.

Notes

Wrap tightly for storage. It stays fresh for about a week in the refrigerator. Can also be frozen.
