Preparation
  1. Wash the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly.
  2. Drain any liquid from the mini mozzarella balls and pat them dry.
Assembly
  1. Toss together the mozzarella balls, cherry tomatoes, extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, and black pepper gently.
  2. Layer the bento box compartments: mozzarella and tomatoes in one, fresh basil in another, and optional crackers or breadsticks in a separate compartment.
  3. Pour balsamic glaze into a small condiment container to keep it separate until serving.
  4. Add a lemon wedge or extra basil on top if desired.

Notes

This bento box can be prepared in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to two days. Consider packing fruits or a light dip to complement this meal.
