  • 8 oz pasta (your choice)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Parmesan cheese (grated) For serving

Method
 

Cooking
  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In the last 3 minutes of cooking, add broccoli florets to the pot.
  3. Drain the pasta and broccoli, reserving a bit of the pasta water.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  5. Add the drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet, tossing to combine.
  6. If needed, add reserved pasta water for moisture. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For meal prep, this dish is great to make ahead of time. Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge. Add a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese for extra flavor before serving.
