Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 325 degrees F (160 degrees C).
- In a medium bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Set this aside.
- In another medium bowl, combine the milk, Greek yogurt, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and add in the mini chocolate morsels. Mix until just combined.
- Fill each cavity of your doughnut pan about 3/4 of the way full with the batter.
Baking
- Bake for about 10-11 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the donuts to cool completely in the pan before gently removing them.
Glazing
- While the donuts are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, mix together the orange juice, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the confectioner's sugar and mix until smooth.
- Spread the glaze on the cooled donuts and sprinkle with additional mini chocolate morsels if desired.
Notes
For a healthier version, substitute half of the all-purpose flour with almond flour. Freeze without glaze for up to three months.
