Base Ingredients
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) marshmallows
  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
Decoration Ingredients
  • to coat Candy coating or chocolate for decoration
  • to taste Sprinkles or additional candy for decoration

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  2. Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until well combined.
  3. Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan evenly.
  4. Once cooled, cut into egg shapes or use cookie cutters.
Decoration
  1. Melt the candy coating or chocolate and dip the treats to coat.
  2. Decorate with sprinkles or additional candy as desired.
  3. Allow to set before serving.

Notes

Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 to 3 days. Or, refrigerate for up to one week (may become firmer). For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped eggs for up to 1 month.
