Preparation
- In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
- Remove from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until well combined.
- Press the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch pan evenly.
- Once cooled, cut into egg shapes or use cookie cutters.
Decoration
- Melt the candy coating or chocolate and dip the treats to coat.
- Decorate with sprinkles or additional candy as desired.
- Allow to set before serving.
Notes
Store treats in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 to 3 days. Or, refrigerate for up to one week (may become firmer). For longer storage, freeze individually wrapped eggs for up to 1 month.
