Easter Ambrosia Salad

Main Ingredients
  • 1 container Cool Whip Use store-bought or a similar whipped topping.
  • 2 cups mini marshmallows Add more or less to taste.
  • 1 can (15 oz) fruit cocktail, drained Canned or fresh fruit can be used.
  • 1 cup shredded coconut Can be toasted for added texture.
  • 1 cup mandarin oranges, drained Fresh segments can be substituted.
  • 1 cup grapes, halved Use seedless grapes for easier prep.
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional) Pecans or walnuts can be used; skip for nut allergies.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the Cool Whip, mini marshmallows, fruit cocktail, shredded coconut, mandarin oranges, grapes, and nuts if using.
  2. Gently mix until well combined.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving.
  4. Serve chilled, garnished with a small sprig of mint or extra coconut if desired.

Notes

The salad can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge. It keeps well for up to 2 days. Avoid freezing due to texture changes.
