  • 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon minced ginger
  • to taste Salt and pepper
For Serving
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Chopped green onions for garnish, optional
  • Sesame seeds for garnish, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce, honey, minced garlic, and minced ginger.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot.
  4. Season with salt and pepper.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
  2. Shred the chicken using two forks and mix with the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve over cooked rice or noodles and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Reheat in the microwave or on the stove.
