Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 225 degrees F (105 degrees C).
- Carefully slice the apples very thin, aiming for about 1/8 inch thickness.
- Place the apple slices evenly on baking sheets, ideally lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle both sides of the apple slices with cinnamon.
Baking
- Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, then carefully flip the slices over.
- Bake the apple slices for an additional hour, until crispy.
- Turn off the oven and leave the apple slices inside for another 30 minutes to 1 hour to crisp up further.
Optional Dip
- For an optional salted caramel dip, combine caramel syrup and salt in a bowl and mix well.
Air Fryer Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 300 degrees F and air fry the apple slices for about 15 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Notes
Store dried apple chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag up to 3 months.
