Preparation
- Start by washing the kale under cold running water. Chop it into small pieces and set it aside.
- In a frying pan, heat a tablespoon of olive oil over low to medium heat.
- Once the oil is warm, add the minced garlic. Cook it for about a minute until it is fragrant but not browned.
- Add the chopped kale to the pan and stir gently. Cook it for about 3-4 minutes until it wilts down.
- Next, add the drained beans to the pan. Stir everything together so the beans mix with the kale and garlic.
- Pour in the cream, stirring everything well. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the cream to thicken a bit.
- Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste. If you like a bit of heat, add some red pepper flakes at this stage too.
- While the kale and beans cook, toast your bread in a toaster or grill until golden brown.
- Once the toast is ready, place it on a serving plate.
- Finally, spoon the creamy kale and beans mixture generously over the toasted bread. Enjoy your delicious meal!
Notes
