Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Press the meatloaf mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
Cooking
- Arrange the frozen tater tots in a single layer on top of the meatloaf mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
- Remove the dish and sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Pairs well with a fresh green salad or steamed vegetables. Extra ketchup or barbecue sauce can be offered for dipping.
