Ingredients for Nests
  • 2 cups chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup chocolate chips use milk or dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter can be replaced with sun butter for nut-free version
  • 1 cup mini eggs or jelly beans for decoration
  • 1 tablespoon butter to help melt the chocolate

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, melt the chocolate chips and butter together over low heat. Stir until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter until fully combined.
  3. Add chow mein noodles to the mixture and stir until evenly coated.
  4. Using a spoon, drop clusters of the mixture onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, forming nests.
  5. Before they set completely, place mini eggs or jelly beans into the center of each nest.
  6. Allow to cool and harden at room temperature or in the refrigerator before serving.

Notes

These nests can be stored in an airtight container for up to five days at room temperature, or two weeks in the refrigerator. They can also be frozen for up to three months. Decorate with spring-themed items when serving.
