Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the Brie: If your Brie came in a wooden box, remove it and unwrap the cheese. Place it back in the box (if using) or in a small baking dish.
- Score the top: Use a knife to score the top of the Brie in a crisscross pattern to help the jam penetrate the cheese as it bakes.
- Add fig jam: Spread about 1/4 cup of fig jam over the top of the brie.
- Optional toppings: If using nuts or herbs, sprinkle them over the jam now.
- Wrap or not: For a 'naked' brie, place it in the oven as is. For a puff pastry-wrapped version, wrap it in puff pastry.
- Bake it: Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is soft and gooey.
- Cool down: Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with a variety of accompaniments like crackers, sliced baguette, or fresh fruit for optimal enjoyment. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat gently before serving.
