Baked Brie in Crescent Rolls

  • 1 can crescent roll dough
  • 1 wheel brie cheese
  • 1/4 cup cranberry sauce
  • 1 large egg for egg wash
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts optional, walnuts or pecans for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. Place a piece of brie cheese on the wide end of each triangle and add a spoonful of cranberry sauce on top.
  4. Roll the dough around the cheese and cranberry filling, starting from the wide end.
  5. Place the wrapped brie bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the crescent rolls for a golden finish.
  7. If desired, sprinkle chopped nuts on top for added crunch.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. Consider cutting into small pieces for easy sharing and offer extra cranberry sauce or sliced apples/pears as dips.
